    Donald Whitener
    DVM

    Dr. Donald Whitener graduated from Auburn University Veterinary College in 1983, after attending Undergraduate at North Carolina State University. He initially worked as a veterinarian in a small animal hospital in Lincoln County. In 1988 he moved to Conover and established Conover Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Whitener's veterinary interests include parasitology, feline medicine and soft tissue surgery. When he is not practicing veterinary medicine he enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with family. He lives in Catawba County with his wife Sharon, 3 lovely daughters, 2 cats, and 2 Golden Retrievers and 1 Golden Retriever mix.

    Judy Bumbarger
    DVM

    Dr. Judy Bumbarger graduated from Georgia University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985, after attending undergraduate at UGA. She worked as an associate veterinarian in a large/small animal practice in Davie County until 1988. She returned to her native Catawba County to work at Catawba Animal Clinic, which was operated as a satellite hospital by another Hickory veterinarian. She purchased this business in 1989.

    Dr. Tina Whitted graduated from Auburn University Veterinary College in 1985, after attending undergraduate school at Auburn. She worked at Catawba Animal Clinic in Newton, and then later worked as an associate veterinarian in Statesville, as well as a one year stint at the Spay/Neuter Clinic in Charlotte. She returned to Catawba County to work at Conover Veterinary Hospital in 1996. Dr. Whitted's veterinary interests include surgery, feline medicine, and a special interest in exotic animal and avian medicine.

    Brett Pendergrass
    DVM

    Dr. Brett Pendergrass, an Iredell County native, graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, after attending undergraduate at UNC Charlotte. He was an associate veterinarian at Statesville Bovine and Equine Clinic in Statesville until 2017. Dr. Pendergrass then worked at the Humane Society of the Piedmont's Spay/Neuter clinic until joining Conover Veterinary Hospital in August 2018. Dr. Pendergrass' professional interest include internal medicine and surgery. In his free time he enjoys gardening, fishing and concerts. He lives with his girlfriend Elly and their two dogs Siouxsie and Buster in Statesville, NC.
